lf either or both parents are
foreign national, they should
intimate FRRO/FRO
electronically within 30 days of
birth of the child, for grant of Visa
services including grant of new
visa and exit permit.
Wherein, either of parents is an
lndian citizen and if such parent
wishes to retain the Indian
citizenship of the child then no
requirement of registration with
FRRO/FRO electronically.
Provided that the minor child
cannot at any time hold the
passport of any other country
while also holding the lndian
passport.
If such child as mentioned in
above point (b), acquires
citizenship of foreign country
while in lndia at later stage, either
of the parents should intimate the same to FRRO/FRO
electronically within 30 days of
acquiring citizenship of foreign country by child.
Foreign Nationals, except OCI card holders, are not permitted to commission surrogacy in India.
Every hospital, nursing home or any other medical institution shall furnish information in respect of any children born to foreigners (either or both the parents are foreigner) in their place within seven days of the occurrence of the birth, electronically (via email) to the
jurisdictional Registration Officer/ FRRO.
