Air Crew
Crew members of scheduled/ non-scheduled flights operated by scheduled airlines, non-scheduled and chartered flights operated by non-scheduled airlines and special flights are required to obtain Business/e-Business visa for appropriate duration.
Travel Documents for Crew:
- Air crew members of scheduled airlines who operate scheduled services to, or through, India can enter India with the valid `Crew Member Certificate' or `License' issued by the country of registration of the aircraft in lieu of passport.
- In all cases of crew of non-scheduled airlines, chartered flights operated by such airlines and Special flights, visa should be endorsed on their national passport only and NOT on the crew member certificate.
Guidelines for Pakistan Air Crew:
- The Air Crew of Pakistan operating the scheduled services between India and Pakistan will be allowed to land at the designated airports in India, without being required to be in possession of passports and visas, provided they hold valid personnel licenses.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineers/Staff of the Airlines of Pakistan who are required to travel to lndia in connection with repairs or maintenance of the aircraft with/without notice in case of emergencies, will be given facilities to land in the airport concerned up to a period of 36 (thirty-six) hours without visas, provided they hold valid passports endorsed for lndia and are in possession of appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licenses. The arrival of such engineering staff shall be reported in writing, by the airline concerned to the lmmigration authorities at the airport within 30 minutes of the arrival of the aircraft.
- Air Crew of Pakistan stationed in India will be subject to the requirements of registration, report on arrival/departure etc., within 24 hours.
- Pakistani and Pakistani origin crew members will not be issued with Landing Permit if they are arriving from a country other than Pakistan.
Seamen
- Indian and foreign seamen who Sign On/Sign Off in Indian Seaport ICPs should be in possession of valid Passport and Seaman Book/Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC).
- Foreign Seamen who wish to join Foreign Run vessels in Indian Seaport ICPs should be in possession of Transit Visa.
- Foreign Seamen who wish to join Coastal Run vessels should be in possession of E-1/Business Visa or X-Misc. Visa with endorsement to join the Vessel or OCI card and Employment Visa in case of Project Crew joining Survey/Rig/Cable-laying/Seismic/Research Vessels etc.
- Foreign Supernumeraries are not permitted to Sign Off in India without an appropriate visa.
- Shore Leave Pass (SLP) is issued to a foreign Seaman on a daily basis (0600 hrs to 2345 hrs) subject to maximum of 7 days or till the departure of the vessel, whichever is earlier.
- Foreign Supernumeraries are not eligible for Shore Leave Pass (SLP).
Note- Supernumeraries who are lndian nations can be extended the SLP and not holding seaman/CDC book, should not be granted SLP as SLP is privilege extended to seaman. - Pakistani and Pakistani origin crew members will not be issued with Landing Permit if they are arriving from a country other than Pakistan.
Guidelines for Pakistan seaman:

- Shore leave pass facility for Pakistani crew not available
