Extending stay on Your Visa

Foreign Nationals who are unable to leave/ exit India within the validity of their visa due to justifiable reasons, should apply for the appropriate visa service on

https://indianfrro.gov.in.

• Such visa services are available only to foreign nationals who are present in India.
• This request/ application should be made within the validity of their current visa, allowing reasonable time for processing.
• If the extension/ conversion of the visa/ permission to continue their stay is not granted within the validity of their current visa, they must depart from India. Failure to depart will be considered a willful illegal overstay and will be treated in accordance with the law.
