Child born in India

Categories:

1. Both parents are Foreign Nationals:
   1. Intimate the local FRO and FRRO within 14 days of the birth of the child.
   2. This intimation should be via an email on the official email ID of the concerned office.
   3. After obtaining a travel document for the child from the concerned embassy/ mission, the Foreign National needs to apply for requisite visa service for the child within 90 days of the birth of the child.
2. Either of the parents is an Indian national (with the other being a Foreign National) and the parents wish to acquire foreign nationality for the child:
   1. After obtaining a travel document for the child from the concerned embassy/mission, the parents need to apply for requisite visa service for the child within 14 days of the acquisition of the travel document for the child.
3. Foreign Nationals are not permitted to commission surrogacy in India.
