Government of India imposes travel ban on Indian nationals planning to travel to countries which pose security threats and challenges to lives of Indian nationals. The countries with Travel restrictions are:
Iraq: As per travel advisory issued on February 18, 2020, Indian nationals should not travel to five provinces of Iraq, namely Nineveh, Salahuddin, Diyala, Anbar and Kirkuk due to security situation. As regards to Indian nationals travelling for employment to areas other than these five provinces, they must register on e-Migrate portal of GOI and inform Embassy of India in Baghdad or Consulate General of India in Erbil prior to travelling to Iraq.
Yemen: As per travel advisories issued in 2016/2017, all Indian nationals are strongly advised to avoid travelling to Yemen under any circumstances, by any mode of travel, including air, land or sea for any purpose till further notice. The Passport or travel document issued by the Government of India is invalid for the travel to Yemen.
Libya: Government of India has decided to impose travel ban on Indian nationals planning to travel to Libya irrespective of the purpose. The travel ban is effective from May 03, 2016 till further orders.
