Death Intimation

In case of death of a Foreign National in India, it is mandatory to report the same to the jurisdictional FRRO and FRO. In case the mortal remains of the Foreign National need to be transported to his/her native country, his/her relative or an authorised representative may submit an application for obtaining an NOC for the same to the jurisdictional FRRO or FRO.

Documents required: NOC For Transportation Of Deadbody

  1. Death Certificate from Municipality/Corporation/ Panchayat.
  2. Death Report from Local Police Station.
  3. Copy of Passport and Visa of the deceased.
  4. Letter from the family addressed to FRRO seeking permission for transportation of body.
  5. Death summary from Hospital.
  6. Copy of Passport and Visa of the carrier.
  7. Copy of flight ticket.
  8. Embalming Certificate from authorized medical institution.
  9. Letter from the Embassy/Consulate of the foreign citizen.

Documents required: NOC For Cremation Of Dead Body In India

  1. Death Certificate from Municipality/Corporation/Panchayat.
  2. Death Report from Local Police Station.
  3. Copy of passport and visa of the deceased.
  4. Letter from the family addressed to FRRO seeking permission for Cremation/ Burial in India.
  5. Death summary from Hospital.
  6. NOC for cremation from Church/Mosque/ Crematorium.
  7. Indian Address proof.
  8. Marriage Certificate (If married to an Indian).
  9. Request letter for NOC from the relative of the deceased along with his/her passport copy.
  10. Letter from the Embassy/Consulate of the foreign citizen.
